Job Summary: The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the shipments within the organization. Responsible for tracking orders, managing all shipping documentation, directing package flow, and ensuring timely delivery and quality of complete orders. Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and Management
- Manage the coordination of all outgoing shipments, required shipping documentation, invoicing, tracking shipments, and shipment communication.
- Create and coordinate shipment schedule with shipping team, manager, planning group, team leads, sales and others as required
- Create shipment schedule for team based upon monthly goals set for department by management, to include but not limited to:
- Company goals
- Demand (current sales and forecast)
- All finished goods are packaged in a timely manner.
- Manage all import/export documents, ASNs, pick/pack lists, BOLs, intercompany transfers
- Legal regulations and compliances followed
- Company policies followed
- Global shipment expert
- Incoterms
- Commercial invoices
- Global requirements all customers (Air, sea, land)

- Conduct root cause analysis to resolve shipping issues and minimize potential for customer complaints
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance consistency and efficiency.

- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and conducting regular safety audits.

- Optimize the use of resources to reduce waste and lower operational costs.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Maintain accurate records of shipping outputs, downtime, and maintenance activities.
- Prepare regular reports on shipping performance and present them to management.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

Minimum Positions Requirements:
- 5+ Years of supervisory in a manufacturing shipping environment
- 5S Training and certification preferred.
- Metrics driven.
- Self-starter with a contagious level of enthusiasm and energy
- A leader with team focus, that can work independently when necessary.
- Innovative and creative problem solving
- Ability to read and carefully follow instructions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good computer skills such as use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Comfortable using ERP system to manage and improve production, SAP experience preferred.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably directed
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be required to perform some physical exertion, as necessary. Also, will regularly be required to sit, stand, walk, kneel, lift up to 50 lbs, and occasionally bend and move about the facility.
