As part of Detection and Measurement, CUES is the world's leading developer of water, wastewater, and storm water inspection equipment. With CCTV cameras, pre-built vehicles, and software for pipeline inspection and rehabilitation, we improve the safety and reliability of our water infrastructure systems.

How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)

SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Systems Troubleshooter, you will provide professional support to CUES customers on the operation and troubleshooting of the products that we sell. This support is typically via telephone or remote internet connection.

What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be:

  1. Answer customer questions regarding the proper operation of their CUES equipment
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting, to identify the failed component, and repair if possible
  • Facilitate the shipment of loaner equipment if their equipment needs to be sent in for service
  • Provide customers with the troubleshooting aids, like wiring schematics and layout drawings
  • Assist our repair shops by working with customers with related equipment problems
  • Assist our Regional Sales Managers and Mobile Technicians as needed

What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has:

Required Experience & Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior Customer Service experience

Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Experience with CUES pipeline inspection equipment
  • Two year business/education degree preferred
  • Proficient with standard office computer programs
  • Able to present technical information to others in a professional, understandable manner
  • Posses strong electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Must be highly motivated self-starter that can handle stressful situations
  • Ability to work independently, with excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Able to read and understand complex electrical diagrams

Travel & Working Environment

  • Normal work hours are 8am to 5pm , Monday through Friday
  • Infrequent, but possible need for overtime. Could be well outside normal business hours
  • Maintain excellent attendance
  • Position may require the handling of equipment that has been exposed to the sewer and storm pipe environment
