Job Summary

This employee is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Nutrition Solutions store with the main focus being to maintain product inventory according to customer demand, conduct product sales, fill customer orders, and assist in program activities. Achieving performance objectives will require action in one of the main areas of retail activity, store operations, and customer service. Performs food service duties to serve retail foodservice patrons following standards set by Nutrition Solutions management and complying with DHEC regulatory requirements.

Essential Functions

  • Sells products to retail patrons with a strong focus on quality and customer service.

  • Manages point of sale areas with focus on product promoting, education, and increasing product sales.

  • Operates cash register in accurate and efficient manner.

  • Responds to product questions and educating customers on nutrition information related to product with goal of product sales.

  • Prepares and displays product for serving and serves patrons in a courteous and friendly manner. Manages stock levels. Stocks shelves with product. Helps facilitate special promotions, displays and events.

  • Helps maintain clean and safe environment, assists with care, maintenance and cleaning of department equipment and supplies.

  • Maintains department in compliance with all regulatory agencies including DHEC and internal infection prevention guidelines.

  • Persuades inquiries to attend information sessions about company services.

  • Assists in assigned activities of the weight loss and nutrition programs.

  • Organizes paperwork for store and program activity. Keeps accurate records of store sales, documents, and messaging.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - High School Diploma or Equivalent

  • Experience - One (1) year of retail experience preferred
