The Quality Engineer III provides methodologies, processes, and principles to help product teams establish, maintain, and improve the quality of their deliverables. This role is responsible for developing processes, testing procedures, and implementing systems that ensure products and processes comply with regulatory requirements while exceeding client expectations.
Experience testing portal-based applications, with a focus on authentication and identity management tools such as Okta, SSO, and MFA, is highly desired due to their relevance in modern security practices.
From a software development perspective, this position involves the management, development, operation, and maintenance of IT systems and enterprise architectures, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards. Starting from initial concept through development stages, the Quality Engineer III ensures every product meets the highest level of quality without defects.

• You will ensure adherence and drive defining/refining tasks outlined in test strategy, planning and defect management process documentation.
• You will drive and continually review the systems, processes, and procedures against the quality standards to ensure the highest integrity of the product.
• You will develop and maintain test suites across application platforms to mitigate risk of failures and ensure consistent product quality.
• You will drive processes for triaging reported defects to maintain a healthy backlog.
• You will analyze, create, and implement preventive measures using innovative actionable metrics that help drive improved defect detention and reduce escaped defects.
• You will validate completion of quality documentation and artifact tasks to support adherence of audit process and procedures.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Information Science/Information Technology or related field of study and/or 7-9 years of directly related experience in Quality Engineering and/or Quality Assurance or equivalent combination of education and experience.

SKILLS:
* Exceptional research and troubleshooting abilities.
* Proficient in testing infrastructure and cloud technologies, including AWS, microservices, and APIs.
* Advanced understanding of software coding principles, standards, and architecture.
* Experienced in DevSecOps environments with a focus on continuous testing and integration.
* Extensive experience with Gherkin and BDD frameworks, successfully implementing BDD or TDD methodologies.
* Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough test coverage and high-quality deliverables.
* Excellent communication skills to articulate technical concepts clearly across teams.
* Skilled in Agile workflows, including Scrum practices and tools like Jira/Zephyr.
* Advanced API testing expertise using Postman, focusing on service layer validation and automation.
* Solid experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript for API testing and automation.
* Strong understanding of source code control systems, including Git workflows for merging and branching.
* Experience with portals for managing customers, accounts, products, profiles, and preferences.
* Proficient in authentication and identity management tools like Okta, SSO, and MFA.
* Domain-specific knowledge (e.g., commercial banking) is beneficial but not required.
* Strong knowledge of data structures, modeling, and design principles for efficient testing and debugging.
* Experienced in creating and maintaining reliable and reusable test datasets.
* Collaborates with automation teams to advance UI and API test automation for scalability and reliability.
* Ability to stay updated on industry trends and train team members on tools, methodologies, and best practices.
