Global Sourcing is part of the Finance organization and manages Visa's end-to-end sourcing and procurement of goods and services. Sourcing is responsible for partnering with business owners to lead all strategic sourcing activities globally to ensure optimal selection of suppliers that deliver best value in price and quality, while minimizing risk to Visa.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Technology Sourcing, this Director will serve as an individual contributor and own a portfolio in support of Visa's Technology organization. Year-over-year, this person may oversee approximately USD 100M+ in spend across a number of key suppliers. The specific focus on this role will involve consulting with Technology stakeholders to define a vision, then delivering upon that vision through execution of Sourcing activities. This role will partner closely with key stakeholders within Visa's Technology, Finance, and other organizations, including, but not limited to E/SVP-level leaders globally. In this role, he/she will provide subject matter expertise, deep market insights and strategic guidance to business leaders by understanding their strategy, initiatives and plans. This person will be expected to deliver against an annual savings target.

Essential Functions:

This is a senior role within Visa's Global Technology Sourcing organization and the responsibilities range from building relationships with Technology executives and working with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive strategic decision, to leading sourcing business partners to deliver savings while balancing the risks and regulatory issues from engaging third parties.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

• Relationship Building
  • This role supports Visa's Technology Sourcing Strategy and key stakeholders, both within and outside of Visa IT.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners to drive Sourcing engagements and increase the influence/role of Sourcing within the various business teams. This person can expect direct visibility to senior executives including, but not limited to, Visa's EVP of Technology, Technology Leadership Team members, product & client executives, and more.
  • Regularly update executives at all levels of the company on deal status, category reporting, etc. Provide continuous written and verbal updates to the business partners, suppliers and other stakeholders on the status of deal.
  • Take a global view to ensure that Visa leverages its scale domestically and internationally.
• Category Expertise
  • Collaborate with Category teams and Visa Technology to establish the Supplier / Product Strategy for Network & Data Center as categories of spend at Visa.
  • Understand the Visa Technology footprint, the long and short-term strategies and the suppliers within that landscape.
  • Oversee the aligned categories. Understands the supplier impacts and effectively communicate to Sourcing executives and Technology stakeholders to inform risk/reward decision-making.
  • Perform market analysis to support recommendations to the Technology teams.
  • Drive a sustainable pipeline of activity and proactively engages Technology Business Partners to ensure proper runway.
  • Maintain an understanding of the regulatory market as it impacts Visa Technology's Network & Data Center strategy and market approach.
  • This role will have global reach, high impact, and will be responsible for delivery of key program-level initiatives. The preferred candidate will bring a deep subject-matter expertise in hardware, software, and facilities sourcing.
• Sourcing Capabilities - Commercial & Contract Negotiations
  • Manage escalations. Support the Sourcing and Technology teams to negotiate and drive best-in-class deals for Visa. This role requires a strategic view and the willingness to execute on the day-to-day.
  • Drive multi-vendor strategies to optimize Visa's leverage and reduce operational risk. Execute RFx events to support Visa's Technology organization.
  • Perform savings tracking and report realized savings on a continual basis.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions as a first line of defense, in partnership with Visa Legal, Data Privacy, Cybersecurity, and other teams.
  • Take part in quarterly reporting, regularly recurring team meetings, and ongoing updates to direct reports, peers and leaders around the organization.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications

*10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 8years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

*12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years ofexperience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ yearsof work experience with a PhD

*10+ years of experience as a sourcing and/or procurement professional, with afocus on Technology supplier relationships.

*7+ years of experience assisting in, or leading, the development andmanagement of category plans or sourcing strategies.

*Demonstrated understanding of hardware, software, and facility purchasingwith the ability to converse with, and influence, key IT and Procurementexecutives on supplier strategy, sales models, market/Visa levers, andfinancial modelling.

*Excellent written, oral and presentation skills and an ability to synthesizecomplex and technical information into clear recommendations on course ofaction.

*Demonstrated technology negotiation experience.

*Experience supporting technology and other stakeholders with a passion todeliver outstanding customer service, forge lasting relationships, andapproach goals with team interests in mind.

*Demonstrated ability to manage vendor relationships and influence key vendoraccount executives.

*High level of self-motivation and initiative, and ability to operate as a teamplayer.

*Willingness to offer thought leadership, to think creatively, and to offer newways of approaching old problems.

*CPSM or other industry certification preferred.

*Software license compliance or software / hardware asset managementexperience a plus.

*Undergraduate degree required, preferable in business, economics, computerscience or engineering-related field, graduate degree in business, economicsor engineering a plus.

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 137,300.00 to 199,050.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
