Position Overview
The Head of Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) is the senior marketing leader responsible for operationalizing the company's marketing strategy-delivering world-class campaigns, programs, communications, and digital experiences that drive measurable business results. As the "Head of IMC," you will oversee all core marketing delivery functions: campaigns, content, events, digital/web, creative, Brand, PR & communications. In addition you will help in guiding and refining marketing operations, analytics, and process management. This role is pivotal to ensuring that the marketing strategic vision is flawlessly activated in market-with excellence, speed, and continual improvement.
What you will be doing:
- Execution Leadership & Planning
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing execution team across campaigns, content, events, digital/web, creative, analytics, operations, PR, comms, and social media.
- Partner with VP of Strategic Marketing to translate strategic priorities into detailed, actionable plans with clear timelines, resource allocation, and KPIs.
- Own the integrated marketing calendar, campaign execution roadmap, and program management cadences.
- Refine and enforce brand guidelines across all channels to ensure a cohesive and accurate representation of the company's values, mission, and positioning
- Campaigns & Program Delivery
- Oversee development and launch of multi-channel marketing campaigns, product launches, and demand generation programs.
- Ensure campaign managers coordinate cross-functionally for on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with brand and audience objectives.
- Drive continual optimization of campaigns based on real-time analytics and business feedback.
- Digital, Content, and Creative
- Ensure the digital/web team delivers high-impact experiences-including website strategy and channel management, SEO/SEM, email, webinars, and digital advertising.
- Oversee content marketing across all channels for high-quality blogs, eBooks, videos, collateral, and thought leadership.
- Lead the creative function to maintain strong, on-brand visual and messaging quality across all assets. Own agency management.
- Corporate/Global Events
- Direct strategy and flawless execution for corporate/global events, conferences, and experiential marketing programs.
- Ensure all in-person and virtual events reinforce the company's positioning and business objectives.
- PR, Communications, and Social
- Guide PR & Media Relations and Corporate Communications; ensure all external and internal communications advance the corporate reputation, amplify launches, and support crisis management.
- Oversee social media/community engagement to promote brand advocacy and increase share of voice.
- Support and Guide Marketing Operations & Process Excellence
- Support the design, documentation, and continual improvement of marketing processes and SOPs to drive process excellence.
- Partner with Marketing Operations in driving workflow optimization, MarTech/automation, budgeting, vendor management, and executional quality control across all major marketing programs.
- Champion the integration of AI tools and MarTech into all execution functions to enhance productivity, accelerate content creation, and improve data-driven decision-making
- Analytics & Measurement
- Oversee campaign and program measurement, ROI analysis, marketing dashboarding, and reporting in partnership with the analytics lead.
- Implement feedback loops with the strategy team, enabling agile adjustment and learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 15+ years in marketing operations/execution leadership roles (with at least 5 years managing people leaders)
- Demonstrated senior leadership of complex, multi-function marketing execution teams (B2B or B2C)
- Deep hands-on experience managing large integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, and omnichannel execution
- Expertise across digital marketing, events, content, creative production, PR, communications, and marketing operations
- Strong understanding of MarTech, marketing analytics, budget management, and marketing process excellence
- Superb project management and organizational skills; able to juggle competing priorities and make resource tradeoffs for maximum impact
- Strategic thinking paired with rigorous operational discipline-can translate vision into action, and continuously measure/optimize performance
- Outstanding people leadership, team development, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
- Change management orientation; experience driving operational transformation and scaling teams/processes
- Proven record delivering multi-million-dollar integrated marketing programs with measurable growth/results
- Bachelor's degree required
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Experience in highly regulated, high-growth, global, or complex product environments preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA or related) a plus
- Life sciences/biotech a plus

The Head of Marketing Execution is a results-obsessed, inspirational operator-uniting cross-functional marketing experts to bring strategy to life and drive the next phase of growth for 10x Genomics.
Below is the base pay range for this full-time position. The actual base pay will depend on several factors unique to each candidate, including one's skills, qualifications, and experience. At 10x, base pay is also just one component of the Company's total compensation package. This role is also eligible for 10x's equity grants, its comprehensive health and retirement benefit programs, and its annual bonus program or sales incentive program.
