A Day In The Life
The Performance Development Manager, under the leadership of the Director of Training, is responsible for the individual development of GSFS Group accounts within an assigned region, to increase product sales and improve dealership performance. Your primary target will be to improve the skills and expertise of their Sales and F&I team members. Performance goals will include increasing revenues and developing accounts using our proven training and performance processes.

As a Performance Develpmnt Mgr you will:*

  • Demonstrate GSFSGroup Sales Process Skills on the retail service drive environment
  • Determine account needs and articulate to the GSFSGroup Account Owner and to GSFSGroup Training & Development.
  • Create the will to grow in both seasoned and inexperienced service advisors
  • Consult on and manage specific service Menu and MPI presentations
  • Develop business relationships with the dealership personnel
  • Build and maintain meaningful relationships with our field sales management
  • Guide the dealer leadership in establishing performance standards
  • Maintain and organize your schedule and calendar for all activity
  • Learn, apply, and maintain legal and ethical automotive compliance
  • Learn, recall, and maintain product knowledge
  • Work within our CRM to maintain timely metrics reporting and historical data
  • Create a 90-day (plus) performance plans resource utilization and tracking
  • Communicate across all stakeholders with each assignment
  • Collaborate and communicate across departments on loyalty and retention impacts: Sales, F&I, and Fixed Ops

What We Need From You

A bachelor's degree with 5-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area or possess an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five plus years of retail automotive Fixed Operations experience required. Expect daily use of Salesforce, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as general computer skills.

  • Extensive knowledge of retail automobile Fixed Operations
  • Retail sales experience in the automotive industry
  • Solid organizational and communication skills
  • Proven retail sales experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience with multiple Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
  • Salesforce, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, as well as general computer skills are mandatory
  • Extensive knowledge of retail automobile dealership operation

Travel Requirements

The job requires significant domestic travel (up to 75% of the time).
