About the Job

This lab is seeking to hire a Researcher Professional 1-Life Sci-Multidisc to support ongoing cancer immunotherapy research, including cellular therapy and oncolytic herpes simplex virus (oHSV) development for brain tumors. This position is essential to execute critical experiments involving cell culture, viral production, immune assays, and in vivo tumor models, contributing directly to grant-funded projects and future funding applications. The hire will help ensure timely progress toward research milestones, data generation for publications, and advancement of the lab's translational goals aimed at developing innovative immunotherapeutic strategies for glioblastoma and other brain tumors.

Perform laboratory experiments and procedures (40%): Execute cell culture, viral propagation, in vitro assays, and molecular biology techniques to support research projects. Collect and document experimental data.

Assist with animal studies (30%): Perform mouse handling, intracranial tumor implantation, oncolytic virus administration, and tissue processing for analysis.

Data collection, analysis, and reporting (15%): Compile and analyze data, prepare reports and figures, and contribute to lab meetings and project updates.

Lab maintenance and inventory (10%): Order supplies, maintain lab equipment, and ensure compliance with safety protocols and lab procedures.

Literature review and protocol development (5%): Stay updated on relevant scientific literature and assist in developing and optimizing experimental protocols.

Qualifications

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.

Required Qualifications:
-BA/BS degree, or a combination of education and relevant work experience to equal at least four years.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques.
- Hands-on experience with virus production, titration, and handling.
- Experience working with mouse models, including tumor implantation and tissue collection.
- Familiarity with flow cytometry, immunological assays (e.g., ELISA, ELISPOT), and molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate experimental records.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
