This position is for a registered nurse assessor and trainer who consults on various processes and supports regulatory compliance via quality training of new staff and ad hoc remediation training. This role will also support the provision of education and training related to audit findings and trends.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Organizes and directs the clinical activities of the Practice Health and Safety Assessments as a field assessor, remediation coordinator, and subject matter expert on clinical compliance and regulatory standards
  • Clinical and Onboarding Training (planning, coordinating, delivering and evaluating clinical training)
  • Development of Clinical and Regulatory Training as needed
  • with Functional lanes to deliver training and educational support related to compliance and regulatory elements
  • Education to staff or contracted entities as needed
  • Motivates and inspires other team members
  • Performs other duties as assigned



Professional Competencies:



  • Working knowledge of health care delivery systems
  • Working knowledge of PC applications including MS Office Suite
  • Solid written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret data
  • Skill in writing clear, grammatically correct, easy to use instructional documentation
  • Ability to identify learning needs, set goals and seek educational opportunities
  • Ability to analyze problems and formulate appropriate plans, solutions, and courses of action
  • Knowledge of audience specific communication is needed with the ability to listen actively and respond to internal and external customers in a timely, competent manner both verbally and nonverbally

  • Has regular and predictable attendance
  • Knowledgeable about regulatory requirements such as OSHA and regulatory /accrediting requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • Current, unrestricted RN license in state of residence
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in either an acute care or ambulatory setting
  • Experience with training and staff education
  • Solid experiences with cross-departmental collaboration
  • Knowledgeable about regulatory requirements such as OSHA and regulatory/accrediting requirements
  • Knowledge base of clinical standards of care, NCQA, governing and regulatory agency requirements
  • Epidemiology principles and concepts of infection prevention and nursing theory
  • Proven solid presentation skills
  • Driver's License and access to a reliable transportation


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Education and/or infection prevention experience
  • 1+ years of clinical quality experience
  • Experience with project coordination and training development
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Knowledge of research techniques, data analysis and reporting, forward/strategic planning and integration of technologies within staff development initiatives
  • Proven ability to assist with focusing activities on a strategic direction as well as develop tactical plans, drive performance and achieve targets
  • Proven ability to do formal presentations in different settings - training a variety of staff



Travel: Within State

The salary range for this role is $71,600 to $140,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
