Summary

This position will be a core member of the commercial and operational teams responsible for data management, analytics, and reporting. This role work closely with Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service and Operations to drive process alignment and increase business efficiencies. This position requires an energetic individual who is willing to learn, work independently, and act as a change agent within the organization

Primary Responsibilities

* Lead monthly SIOP process across Photonics: establish standard reporting, drive content and analytical outcomes.

* Leads the preparation of analysis regarding Cambridge Technology revenue, including weekly reporting for bookings, shipments, and backlog.

* Analyze historical and current forecast sales data to enable accurate material forecasting and purchase decisions.

* Track key performance indicators and operations/sales metrics.

* Develop and maintain SIOP sales reports, dashboards, and forecasts.

* Support planning function with analysis to determine build plans by product line. Proactively identify and mitigate risks associated with the execution of production plans

* Develops tools that enable visibility for on time delivery of inventory to regional distribution centers and to customers.

* Streamline workflows and improve process automation/efficiency.

* Lead the development, deployment, and embedding of advanced analytic capabilities across the organization.

* Identify and implement improvements to revenue management processes, including data collection, reporting, and analysis.

* Work with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and ensure data accuracy.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies

* BS degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Management, or related subject; MBA is preferred.

* 10+ years progressive experience

* Exceptional analytical, and modeling skills

* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks concurrently

* Advanced MS Excel, PowerBi, Salesforce and Oracle/SAP required

* Demonstrated success in process improvement initiatives, including problem identification & mitigation

* Experience in discrete manufacturing, ideally low-volume, high-mix engineered to order environment.

* Excellent written, verbal, analytical skills; strong interpersonal skills

* Self-starter with the demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced unstructured atmosphere with minimal supervision

* The individual must be confident and be an exceptionally strong collaborator, capable of contributing innovative thoughts and ideas to create meaningful value for the function and for the enterprise

Travel Requirements

* Travel may be required to Novanta global locations. Estimated travel is <10%.
