What you'll be doing:



  • Serve as key strategic counsel and close partner to Trade Desk's CSO as we continue to scale thecompany and evolve the company's strategy, partnerships, client service model, product offeringand organizational structure.
  • Translate CSO directives into an action plans consistent with the vision, culture, and pace of thecompany.
  • In partnership with executive leadership and their broader operational teams, ensure that thecompany has thoughtful, regular internal communications about business milestones, challenges,and progress.
  • Assist with driving new initiatives - sourcing partnership opportunities to define and execute onnew opportunities or ways of doing business aligned with our strategic vision.
  • Build a strong, trusted relationship with The Trade Desk's CSO to support and/or lead as new initiatives arise or lines of business expand.
  • Build strong relationships across the organization. Establish credibility with the executive team and broader organization by listening and learning about what makes The Trade Desk unique and where we have opportunities to expand and improve.
  • Provide support and oversight for special projects and initiatives.
  • Hold senior leaders accountable to action plans through strong project management andcommunication.
  • Lead special projects that cross functional lines and transition ownership to leader(s) to scale as needed.


Who you are:

The successful candidate will be a well-rounded business leader who understands public companyresource management and team collaboration, and has thrived in both larger and smaller-scaleorganizations, ideally in a variety of industries. She or he will have hands-on experience building highlyefficient and effective teams, programs, partnerships, and processes. Success is viewed as achievingbusiness results, with extreme ownership and accountability - not just being busy. He or she will haveexperience crafting strategic partnerships, which are then executed and maintained by themselves ortheir teams. S/he will makes decisions and proposals backed by data and analysis. The candidate will beinnately nonpolitical, open, authentic, service-oriented, driven, and low ego. S/he should display amanagement style that emphasizes collaboration, and will work seamlessly across the company'sfunctions and levels.



  • 10+ years of experience creating, building, or leading Strategy, Partnership and/or Operationsteams.
  • Outstanding project and partner management skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to craft a compelling strategy, and translate it to an inspirational vision to be communicated to the industry or key executives at partners or potential partners.
  • Experience in planning, setting priorities, and driving execution for maximum impact across sizeable organizations.
  • Experience negotiating and executing complex and innovative deals
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries to build alignment and driveclosure on issues and drive results.
  • Empathetic leader who knows how to get stuff done while role-modeling company valuesincluding vision, grit, agility, generosity, openness, and full heartedness.

NY, CO, CA, and WA residents only: In accordance with NY, CO, CA, and WA law, the range provided is The Trade Desk's reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$189,800 $347,900 USD
