POSITION SUMMARY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned. - Works closely with Employee Resources and Payroll Supervisor/Payroll Administrator to maintain accurate payroll database information in both UKG and ECMS.
- Processes bi-weekly salaried payroll in UKG in accordance with SOP and uploads payroll file to respective banking website.
- Serves as key point of contact for both ERP provider and UKG payroll software provider and effectively manages both service providers through modifications and software upgrades.
- Ensures compliance with all state payroll regulatory requirements.
- Performs quarter-end and year end balancing.
- Reviews and approves all 940 and 941 filings and supporting workpapers.
- Reviews or performs all required year-end reconciliations procedures to ensure W-2 data is accurate and filed timely.
- Reviews and approves all quarter reconciliation procedures.
- Uploads all electronic federal and state W-2s.
- Provides monthly financial reporting to internal partners for company employees working abroad in foreign countries (ex-patriots).
- Coordinates with both Employee Resources and external CPA firms to ensure ex-patriot withholdings and deductions are properly administered based on projections provided by CPA firms.
- Coordinates with external CPA firms to ensure proper documentation is provided, tax projections are prepared, and Hypothetical deductions are proper.
- Coordinates with CPA firms to ensure compliance with all foreign payroll obligations.
- Reports and remits all necessary Canadian payroll taxes for ex-patriots working in Canada.
- Manages team to ensure unemployment filings and remittances are filed and paid by established due date.
- Processes Department of Labor monthly reports for multiple states and quarterly reports.
- Transmit weekly the files for 1095C's to the third-party administrator.
- Process Affordable Care Act Reporting annually.
- Write Cognos Reports and IDI Views.
- Assists Controller with wage "gross-up" calculations for employees with indefinite project durations.
- Assists Controller with state and federal projects related to payroll administration.
- Assists Controller with identifying process improvements that result in improved efficiency, more accurate information and/or greater assurance.
- Travels to Company and subsidiary offices; offsite client, subcontractor, and supplier meetings; and other locations across North America to fulfill the essential duties of the role as required.
- Exhibits regular and reliable attendance in person as required by the Supervisor, Company guidelines, and/or project and office obligations.
Management Responsibilities
- Effectively hires, trains, coaches, disciplines and develops employees to achieve and maintain positive working relationships within the department.
- Achieves desired results through effective leadership and appropriate influence while adhering to established policies and procedures.
- Supervises employees in the Payroll Department
- Determines methods and course of action to achieve departmental and organizational goals though effective planning and efficient performance of the department.

- Models and reinforces safety as a top priority of the organization. Always wears a hard helmet and other appropriate personal protective equipment in the field.
- Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures and maintains a good attendance/tardiness record.

Experience and Education
Bachelor's degree and 10 years' related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
