The Assistant Director of Admissions in the Office of Admissions provides professional support and expertise in the recruitment of out-of-state students. The Assistant Director of Admissions will ensure the effective execution of national recruitment and outreach efforts. This position involves significant independent judgement in the recruitment of undergraduate students and requires significant travel. This position reports up to the National Recruitment Team, typically receives only general guidance, serves as an expert resource for others in the Office of Admissions, and is held accountable for achieving defined enrollment goals. This position is based regionally, working out of a home office with occasional required travel to the Twin Cities campus. First preference will be for candidates located in a major metropolitan area in the Southeast region of the U.S. This is a 100%, 12-month, annually renewable appointment in the academic administrative personnel series. Some evening and weekend work is required, particularly when engaged in recruitment activities and other travel. Application priority deadline is April 14th. National Recruitment (45%):

The mission of the Office of Admissions is to take leadership in recruiting and enrolling undergraduate students who will benefit from and contribute to the University of Minnesota scholarly community. The Office of Admissions coordinates undergraduate student enrollment efforts and collaborates campus-wide with colleges, departments, and the units within the Office of Enrollment Management to meet the University's enrollment goals.
