About Apple Valley: Apple Valley, MN is known as the home of the Minnesota Zoo, a popular family destination, and also boasts a strong community-oriented atmosphere with events like Apple Valley Freedom Days and a focus on parks and recreation Key Position Details: Majority of the time you will support the surgeon in clinic, with some OR and in-basket work Schedule is 4 ten-hour days: 7:30a-5:30p M-F No weekends/nights/call. Job Description: Principle Responsibilities Provides clinical care for patients Completes comprehensive patient assessments. Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness. Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician. Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care. Refers for specialty care when determined. Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear. Job Requirements Master's degree Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program required 2 to 5 years' experience post Physician Assistant training strongly preferred. Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire and ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days and Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required. Surgical experience preferred. Will consider new grads. Physical Demands Medium Work: Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently Pay Range Pay Range: $133,515 to $157,352 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
