Key Position Details:

  • Majority of the time you will support the surgeon in clinic, with some OR and in-basket work
  • Schedule is 4 ten-hour days: 7:30a-5:30p M-F
  • No weekends/nights/call.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical care for patients
    • Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
    • Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
    • Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
    • Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
    • Refers for specialty care when determined.
    • Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.

Job Requirements

  • Master's degree Completion of accredited Physician Assistant program required
  • 2 to 5 years' experience post Physician Assistant training strongly preferred.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire and
  • ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days and
  • Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants upon hire required.
  • Surgical experience preferred. Will consider new grads.

Physical Demands

  • Medium Work*:
  • Lifting weight Up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), Up to 25 lbs. frequently

Pay Range

Pay Range: $133,515 to $157,352 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
