Nokia of America Corporation, Software Quality Assurance Engineer (Multiple Positions), Sunnyvale, CA. Perform System and Platform testing of 7x50 router platforms of Nokia's Service router products. Conduct end-to-end testing of various software features on the 7x50 platform including L2, L3 and QOS features. Perform interoperability testing with other vendors and evaluate the performance of the hardware. Automate in a scripting language all test cases developed. Stress and scale these features along with other 7x50 supported features for different software releases. Develop a test plan for the new product, either a software feature or a hardware platform. Perform manual testing based on the test plan created and make sure it conforms to the expectation as defined by the product marketing teams. Develop automation test scripts and integrate them into the regression infrastructure. Escalate and obtain solution to any quality issue observed during the test cycle of the product. Assist with the delivery of the product to the customer with highest quality. Work closely with hardware, software, firmware and product marketing teams. #LI-DNI

SALARY RANGE: $149,588 - 223,105 per year

WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, Telecommunication Systems Management or a related field.

Skills required: Scripting Languages Tool Command Language (TCL), Python, and Perl; Linux; TCP/IP networking and L2/L3 protocols, including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) or Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol (VRRP); VLAN technologies, VLL and VPLS; Network testing and monitoring tools, including Wireshark protocols analyzer, Spirent and IXIA; and Version control system, including Centralized Version Control System (CVS), Global Information Tracker (GIT), and editors including Visual (Vi).

Telecommuting from a location within commuting distance of Sunnyvale, CA may be permitted, depending on business need.

Skills may be gained through experience or academic coursework. Qualifying education, coursework, and/or experience may have been gained concurrently.
