Product Development Manager

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Reporting to the Sr. Director of Product Management, co-develop & execute a multi-year new product development (NPD) roadmap.
  • Be an unrelenting advocate for quality, accountability and continuous improvement by leveraging critical-thinking, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Partner with the Senior PDM to lead NPD and other product-related projects from concept to launch by guiding the cross-functional team through a stage-gate process.
  • Maintain customer focus by conducting qualitative research and performing quantitative data analysis to inform category/product strategy and support commercial activities.
  • Collaborate with PM leadership, Sales & Marketing teams to incorporate go-to-market strategies into your NPD scope that will ensure successful product introductions.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of product development experience. CPG product experience is preferred but not required; with a focus on Household Chemicals or Plumbing Products.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience executing new product research, both qualitative and quantitative. Including familiarity with syndicated POS data (e.g., Nielsen, Circana, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are imperative. Ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience using system solutions (i.e., SmartSheet) and formalized processes (i.e., stage-gate).
