Role Summary:
Reporting to the Program Management Office Manager, the Continuous Improvement Leader is a key member of the Operations Team. The Continuous Improvement Specialist II is responsible for enhancing processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality. The person in this role will use methodologies like lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen and apply them to wholesale distribution to identify and eliminate inefficiencies.

The essential duties and responsibilities of a Continuous Improvement Leader will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:


  • Lead continuous improvement projects across various departments to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
  • Analyze existing workflows and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and achieve organizational goals.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of continuous improvement initiatives, providing regular updates to senior management
  • Conduct training and workshops to educate Owner-Associates on continuous improvement methodologies and tools
  • Utilize Six Sigma methodologies, adapted for service or distribution industries, to analyze data, identify root causes of issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging Owner-Associate involvement and recognizing contributions to improvement efforts
  • Perform other duties as assigned

What you'll need:


  • Work Experience: 3 years' experience leading continuous improvement projects and implementing quality management systems
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, industrial engineering, operations management, business, or a related field
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma, Lean, and Kaizen; excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and identify trends
  • Organization Skills: Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Cross-functional skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams


  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Travel : Up to 30% occasionally overnight
  • Driver's License: Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license


Qualifications we prefer but don't require:


  • Work Experience: Experience with Lean principles and tools; experience in a service or distribution environment
  • Education: Advanced Degree in a related field; Six Sigma Black Belt certification or higher, with adaptations for service or distribution industries
  • Analytics/Computer Skills: Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
