Description

Acara Solutions is hiring a Field Service Engineer to install, start up, maintain, and repair industrial vacuum heat-treating equipment across North America.

The ideal candidate resides in Eastern time zone and is within proximity to an international airport. This role involves approximately 70% travel.

What You'll Do

  • Install, start up, maintain, and repair industrial vacuum heat-treating equipment.
    • Our various equipment handles many processes such as carburizing, nitriding, die hardening, and oil quenching.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to heat-treating systems.
  • Provide on-site support for equipment, ensuring optimal operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Opportunity to visit facility in Europe for testing and training on new equipment.
  • Collaborate with teams to resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety standards and best practices.

What You'll Get

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Must have 4-year college degree in engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in field service, installing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work on-site at customer locations across North America.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with industrial vacuum heat-treating equipment.
  • Expertise in processes such as carburizing, nitriding, die hardening, and oil quenching.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex systems and perform equipment repairs effectively.
  • Previous experience working with or visiting international facilities for training or testing.
