This key role will receive guidance and direction from the Director of Individual and Corporate Development, and will be responsible for managing a portfolio of at least 150 donors and prospective donors, and developing strategies for gifts primarily in the range of $25,000 to $1 million. This hybrid role requires the incumbent to work on site at least 2-days per week; will be required to work fully on-site for the first 3-months. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Strategically identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major and planned gifts from individuals, family foundations, corporate foundations, and corporations.
- Collaboration with clinical staff, department heads, and volunteers as appropriate for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies.
- Achieving monthly goals and ensuring that written proposals are developed in alignment with the Clinic's prospect management system.
- Serving as an internal resource for the Clinic and as a visible representative of Venice Family Clinic with donors and other external corporate and foundation partners.
- Establish long-term partnerships and strengthen existing relationships with donors, including in-person cultivation through meetings, events, and site visits to the Clinic.
- Work with finance and programs staff on post-award fulfillment related to grants, including tracking grant deliverables and reporting to funders when required.
- Participating in projects, traveling as needed to other locations, and completing other duties as assigned by management.

The full salary range for this position is $83,800.00 - $179,400.00 Annual. The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is approximately $83,800.00 - $100,000.00 Annual.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent combination of experience/training.
- Three to five years of experience in development with at least three years of experience specifically in managing a portfolio for fundraising; demonstrated track record of success in securing gifts in positions of increasing responsibility.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into persuasive verbal proposals and effectively communicate the vision, mission, and programs of Venice Family Clinic to external stakeholders.
- Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently or collaboratively to achieve goals.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with a proven ability to set priorities, bring projects to completion, and meet multiple deadlines with a high degree of autonomy.
- Excellent interpersonal and networking skills, both internally and externally, with a successful track record of engaging donors and strengthening donor relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to analyze statistics and present data in accessible formats within donor materials.
- Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of new developments and best practices.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work on occasional evenings and weekends.
Experience with donor databases (Salesforce or an equivalent system) is highly preferred.
