Scientific Leadership Research Coordinator (SLRC)

Description of Roles and Responsibilities

  • Contributes within the specific Therapeutic Area (TA) and interacts with a continuum of stakeholders.

  • The SLRC is required to ensure that meaningful and collaborative scientific exchange through engagement activities is achieved to globally impact our strategies.

  • Key to the role is the optimal management of the operations of client's Investigator Studies Program

  • The SLRC manages Congress Operations activity for the TA.

ProjectManagement

  • Project manages and/or supports investigator-initiated studies (ISP), the scientific congresses, and Research & Development (R&D) Congress support for the TA

  • These key functions contribute to the development and refinement of our TA Scientific and Medical Affairs Strategic Plan for Our Company Research Laboratories.

  • Ensures that the oversite of these activities is achieved to globally impact the scientific strategy for TA

  • InvestigatorStudies Program

  • Co-leads with ISP

  • Chair (Executive Director of Scientific Affairs) and supports the ISP committee with the review, decision making, and operational management of research proposals

  • Provides optimal oversight of the TA Company ISP operations to ensure that the research submitted by investigators is compliantly and efficiently managed

  • CongressSupport

  • Supports logistical and strategic planning of R&D activities at scientific congresses, such as daily debriefs and scientific leader engagements

  • Co-leads with the EDSA and is planning manager with the EDSA for all disease area scientific engagements.

  • Provides congress support and is responsible for developing and updating the scientific leadership strategy

Minimum FTE Years of Experience

  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare-related experience in internal or external scientific research operations Strong leadership, project management, and organizational awareness skills

  • Strong leadership, resilience, collaborative and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to coordinate across divisions

  • Ability to lead without direct authority over a continuum of stakeholders

  • Research database proficiency

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications
