Danfoss is looking for a Tactical Buyer to Execute material planning for purchased components in alignment with the production plan requirements. Utilize MRP to effectively communication schedules and purchase orders to suppliers, follow-up with suppliers daily, manage inventory levels to ensure consistent flow of materials, and provide daily updates to the production planning/master scheduling teams. Carry out all activities according to Danfoss Ethics and Values. Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following. * Execute material planning to procure raw materials through a consistent process reducing variation on the supply base. Background & Skills
The ideal candidate possesses these skills. * Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain preferred. * 3 - 5 years' experience in materials planning/scheduling in the same industry sector. * Technical knowledge: o Familiar with forecasting tools. o APICS CPIM certification qualification or commitment to complete equivalent. o Highly advanced analytical and cognitive skills. o Experience in MRP, MPS, Min-Max tools. o Experience in ERP systems. o Bilingual English/Spanish. o Proficient in MS Office /Excel, able to develop spreadsheets. * Demonstrates a Collaborative Style. * Promotes and Champions Change. * Possesses Interpersonal Savvy (Supplier/Customer Relationships). * Strong ethics and professional presence required. * Negotiation skills and experience with suppliers. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Proactive and organized.
