Overview
The Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life prepares Tufts students to become active citizens and community leaders. Tisch College works across Tufts University to engage students in meaningful public service and preparation to take on active roles in public life. It also works to involve faculty in research and teaching focused on community engagement and to link university assets to community-identified needs. The College develops innovative projects and programs to make field-based community knowledge co-creation, practical community-based problem-solving, and civic learning opportunities more accessible and impactful for students and communities. Serving as an innovator and incubator, Tisch College collaborates closely with Tufts schools, departments, and student groups to generate an enduring culture of active citizenship across the university. What You'll Do The Associate Director will work closely and collaboratively with the Founder & Director and the Education & Reentry Sr. Program Administrator to plan the near- and long-term programming of the Tufts University Prison Initiative (TUPIT). The programming includes the Bunker Hill Community College and Tufts degree programs at MCI-Shirley and Souza Baranowski and the Tufts Education and Reentry Network program (MyTERN), on the Tufts Medford campus. The Associate Director will report to the Director and will join the Education & Reentry Sr. Program Administrator, and the leadership of Tisch College in executing the vision for programmatic sustainability and growth. The Associate Director will communicate with TUPIT staff on a regular basis and will assume administrative responsibilities in the areas of 1.) development, including donor cultivation, event production, and grants, 2.) inside-program administration, including liaising communication with faculty and MA Department of Corrections and 3.) academic and reentry advising of incarcerated students engaged in programming at both facilities and supporting student record maintenance, and 4.) mentor cultivation and support. As the program grows and program needs shift, the Associate Director will be expected to engage growth areas in collaboration with the Director and Education & Reentry Sr. Program Administrator. Pay Range Minimum $71,050.00, Midpoint $88,850.00, Maximum $106,700.00 Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity; generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range. |
