*Job Description* *Job Title:* Quality Assurance Manager *Department: Quality Department* *Reports To: General Manager* *FLSA Status: Exempt* *Basic Function* Responsible for ensuring all parts are of the highest quality before shipping through inspection. *Responsibilities* Measures and records the configuration of formed metal parts and assemblies, using micrometers, vernier calipers, indicators, hardness testers, and optical comparators. Measures and records various physical & chemical properties of chemical processing to ensure proper plating thickness. Measures and records the physical properties and hardness of incoming metals and customer products after heat treating. Establish & monitor key characteristics. Audits production records. Maintains customer schedules. Develops a team spirit for customer satisfaction including timeliness of delivery. Understands the ISO 9001 process, NADCAP special process procedures, Statistical Process Control, and Government specifications. Possesses a team spirit and management philosophy that pervades all efforts to get the job done to customer's satisfaction. Ensures compliance with established company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations. Responsible for internal/external audits.
