Job Summary
Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a subsidiary of Barrett Industries Corporation, provides advanced pavement preservation solutions for our customers' needs. We are currently looking for an experienced Lowbed Driverout of our Tonawanda, NY facility. This position will start in May 2025. The starting rate for this job is $29/hour.
Main Responsibilities
- Haul equipment (mostly over width) and materials to various job sites throughout New York State
- Perform daily pre and post trip inspections of assigned vehicle: This requires climbing up, on and over unit to verify everything is in proper working order.
- Haul emulsions and hot liquid asphalt throughout New York State
Requirements and Qualifications
- Experience hauling over width equipment and/or oversize loads preferred
- Must have a valid Class A CDLwith Tanker and Airbrakes Endorsement; HazMat Endorsement preferred
- Must have a good driving record
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Wears and maintains personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Regularly required to climb in and out of vehicles and/or equipment
- Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Regularly required to stand and walk across uneven terrain
- Frequent exposure to loud noise
- Regularly exposed to all outdoor weather conditions, dust, and airborne particles; exposure to high temperatures
- Regularly exposed to fuel, oil, and other chemicals
- Occasional travel with overnight stays away from home may be required
