The Accountant II is responsible for performing a variety of accounting tasks, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. This position involves analyzing financial data to support decision-making and identifying opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. What You Will Be Doing
- Manage accounting processes, leading to the complete, timely and accurate reporting of financial results for the specific responsibility area and in compliance with established internal control guidelines.
- Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP/IFRS).
- Preparation of CTB-14 and Site Package financials and month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Analyze variances and trends in financial data to provide actionable insights.
- Support external and internal audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and other financial records.
- Reconcile Intercompany transactions.
- Preparation and engagement in inventory control activities and cost accounting.
- Assist with regulatory taxes and fees.
- Perform lease accounting and Capex/PPE transactions.
- Identify inefficiencies or pain points in current accounting processes and recommend solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements that enhance accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency.
- Assist in our SAP S4 implementation.
- Assist in special projects, system upgrades, and initiatives that align with organizational goals.
What We Are Looking For
- US - Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) Accounting. International - Bachelors, Professional or University degree required
- US - Master's degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) International - Masters or Post Graduate preferred
- 2-5 years related experience required
- Experience working at a global company preferred
- Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Visio, core ERP System, General Ledger, etc.
- Ability to successfully apply accounting theory to situations and transactions to ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization and excels in communicating with individuals and groups.
- International Locations: Ability to communicate well in English, both in written and verbal forms.,
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to successfully lead and complete small projects.
