Spectra Tech has an immediate need for a HR Generalist II in our corporate office in Oak Ridge, TN. Description: As a HR Generalist II, responsibilities include routine tasks of substantial variety and complexity in support of Human Resources in a government contract/DOE environment. Duties include comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures and enforcing company policies and practices, addressing employee concerns, and leading in the investigation process in the HR Manager's absence. Working with management on selecting medical plans and other company benefit for open enrollment. May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow in the absence of the HR Manager. A high regard for confidentiality is required and the ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prior Government contract experience required. Benefit administration. Creates computer reports of all descriptions for the management team. Creates and updates Company policies. Effectively communicates with employees and managers when questions arise. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Maintains data integrity within human resource information systems. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. Performs other duties as assigned. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems. Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or a related field required and 5 -10 years experience. At least 1-2 years of human resource management experience. Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook required. Advanced oral and written communications skills required. Strong empathy and people skills are necessary. SHRM -CP a plus. |
