The Executive Director will collaborate with the dean, department chairs, and MU Advancement to secure six/seven/eight figure gifts and serve as the primary steward for the college. This leader will build, shape, and manage a team of five. The current A&S Advancement team includes a Senior Director of Advancement, a Director of Advancement, two Advancement Officers, a Donor Engagement Coordinator, and a full-time dedicated support staff.

The College of Arts and Science is a place where faculty and students are devoted to discovery in the laboratory and field, the studio and stage, the library and archive. A&S is the largest college at MU, with approximately 8,000 undergraduate and graduate students, 500 full-time faculty, nearly 200 full-time staff, more than 30 undergraduate majors, and just under 50 minors. There are 28 departments, two museums, Marching Mizzou, and two ROTC units. There are 65,000 A&S living alums.

This is a senior leadership role for the College of Arts and Science advancement program. As such, this leader will oversee all fundraising efforts. Specific Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Provide leadership, coaching, mentoring, and inspiration to a team of major gift fundraisers; currently, the team includes a Sr. Director of Advancement, a Director of Advancement, two Advancement Officers, and a Donor Engagement Coordinator.
* Strategize fundraising efforts within the College in conjunction with the Dean, Department Chairs, and MU Advancement
* Identify prospective individual and corporate/foundation donors
* Develop, implement, and manage an annual advancement plan for the College
* Manage an individual portfolio of major-gift donors, make substantive contact (including face-to-face visits) with them, and present major-gift proposals to them
* Identify donor prospects with a strong sphere of influence and affluence resulting in major leadership gifts and principal gifts of $5 million or more
* Actively engage in campus prospect management efforts in conjunction with MU Advancement
* Serve as the primary college liaison with MU Advancement

Success will be measured by tracking individually based goals for proposals delivered and closed, the number of substantive personal contacts and visits, and dollars raised.
We invest in our employees at the University of Missouri Office of Advancement. Once you join our team, you will participate in the Discipline of Frontline Fundraising (DFF) program with Plus Delta Partners, a 9-month series of fundraising workshops and 1:1 skill building.
