As a Lead 3D Production Artist, you will drive high-impact product visualizations that elevate brand storytelling and customer engagement. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and strategic leadership to produce photo-realistic renderings, optimize workflows, and push the boundaries of digital visualization. You will lead innovative initiatives, ensure brand consistency, and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance design execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

Creative & Technical Execution

  • Produce photo-realistic product visualizations using procedural methods.

  • A sharp eye for materials, lighting, and overall quality to ensure accuracy and realism with high and low-poly workflows.

  • Maintain brand consistency by adhering to stringent photo and design guidelines.

  • Identify gaps in current approaches and advocate for innovative solutions that enhance visualization processes.

  • Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring consistency across all rendered materials.

Strategic Thinking & Project Leadership

  • Understand how projects align with company objectives and leverage that insight to improve processes and outcomes.

  • Take the initiative to learn about our end users, exploring how to engage them effectively through digital content.

  • Effectively communicate risks and opportunities in proposals with a company-wide perspective.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and effectively prioritize tasks.

Collaboration & Problem Solving

  • Work closely with photographers, industrial designers, and brand and product teams to ensure seamless execution of product visualizations.

  • Provide constructive feedback, set clear expectations, and facilitate open team communication.

  • Manage multiple projects independently, adapting to shifting priorities while maintaining quality and deadlines.

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills to tackle complex challenges.

  • Identify obstacles and proactively develop cross-functional plans to overcome them.

  • Foster an open and communicative team environment, encouraging collaboration across departments.

  • Develop a deep understanding of project concepts through cross-functional collaboration and active listening.

  • Encourage knowledge-sharing across teams to enhance skill development and overall efficiency.

Innovation & Process Improvement

  • Lead planning sessions, aligning team tasks, ensuring efficient execution, and encouraging problem-solving.

  • Identify opportunities to evolve workflows and visualization techniques, sharing best practices with the team.

  • Adapt to unstructured environments, guiding others and promoting continuous learning.

  • Share insights and tested initiatives with the broader team to drive continuous improvement.

  • Invest time in mentoring and teaching key competencies, contributing to team growth.

Job Requirements

  • Experience & Education: 5-7 years of professional experience in 3D modeling, product visualization, or a related field; bachelor's degree in 3D modeling, photography, or a related field.

  • Portfolio & Expertise: Strong portfolio showcasing photo-realistic renderings with detailed project contributions.

  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of materials, textures, and lighting. Proficiency in Blender for modeling and Redshift or other rendering engines; knowledge of Adobe After Effects, digital asset management, and project management software is a plus.

  • Brand & Market Understanding: Ability to analyze market, consumer, and customer insights.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Strong ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Mindset & Approach: Results-driven, detail-oriented, open to feedback, and continuously seeking improvement.
