Job Summary
Tailored Solutions is an important enabler to unlock sales volume that would otherwise not be available to Haworth. About 12% of our North American sales come through Tailored Solutions, and the general convention is that the TS sales "pull through" an equivalent amount of standard product sales, which means we influence about 25% of the overall sales volume. We work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a variety of dealers, suppliers, and manufacturing partners across a wide range of products. In this role, the member will respond to multiple requests per day for non-standard products, evaluate their feasibility, determine costs, and provide responses in support of project bids in a quick timeframe. This role will also support our Engineering Designer members to ensure high quality outputs that meet the design intent of the external customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide support in preparing basic engineering documentation, such as Engineering Change Orders and test reports, under guidance.
- Assist senior engineers in analyzing product designs, conducting basic calculations, and researching materials and manufacturing processes.
- Assist with the assembly of prototypes, conduct basic tests, and document results under supervision.
- Develop a foundational understanding of industry standards and best practices in product design, materials, and manufacturing.
- Develop a foundational understanding of engineering principles and their application to product design and development.
- Must be able to perform all essential job functions with/without accommodation.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings:Participate in cross-functional team meetings to gain exposure to product development processes.
- Shadow experienced engineers:Shadow experienced engineers to learn troubleshooting techniques for product issues.

- Uses office automation, communication, software, and tools used in Haworth office environment.
- Performs other duties within scope as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degreein relevant field of study
- Education Equivalency: Associate's Degree plus 2 years related experience OR 4 years related experience
- Applicants must be able to work in Holland, MI without relocation assistance.
- Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for this position.

- Experience with Wood (Laminate and Veneer) and Metal (Sheet metal fabrication)
