Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Broken Arrow, OK. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Develops and applies engineering design methods, CAD tools, theories, and techniques in the investigation and solution of technical problems.
  • Remains abreast of the most modern engineering concepts through personal learning initiatives and continuing education programs while applying this knowledge to assigned tasks when appropriate.
  • This position is primarily project-oriented and pertains to the Mechanical Engineering segment of flight simulator design/development.
  • Task assignments may transcend several projects/programs simultaneously.
  • Develop mechanical designs for military training devices, including mechanisms and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Interpret customer design specifications and requirements.
  • Generates technical documentation describing designs.
  • Support manufacturing processes and Quality inspection requirements; Develop test plans and unit testing
  • Teamwork, involving close association with peers and management, is essential to coordinating engineering activities efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Perform other engineering and non-engineering duties as needed by the supervisor.
  • Carry out significant and varied engineering assignments requiring a general familiarity with a broad field of engineering and knowledge of the reciprocal effects of the work upon other fields.
  • Advise colleagues and other departments on technical issues & problems based on in-depth knowledge of the product.
  • Participate in proposal activities by compiling cost estimates and reviewing project proposals.
  • Ensure project expenditures are within budget and discuss critical project changes or modifications with management.
  • Provide mentoring or training to junior mechanical engineers and designers.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $56.50 - $62.50 / hr.

Hours: 9/80 hrs/Week. (1st shift).

Length: Contract (13 months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in mechanical engineering in a related industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in GD&T.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in SolidWorks, Creo, or other design software utilizing Model Based Definitions.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Detail oriented.
  • Have good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to solve technical and other business issues in a logical fashion.
