Project Engineer

RK&K is seeking a Project Engineer I to work in our Water/Wastewater department in our Richmond, VA office.

Essential Functions

Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and costs estimates for water and wastewater projects. Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design related to water and wastewater systems. Preparation and review of technical memoranda, engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and miscellaneous contract documents. Facilitate internal and client meetings, presentations and approval of plans. Participate in community outreach tasks. Support field testing and investigations. Monitor construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, change orders, site visits and coordination with inspection personnel). Provide construction inspection and administration of water/wastewater pipeline, pumping, storage and treatment facility, construction projects. Communicate effectively and coordinate with clients, project teams including other engineering disciplines, designers and subconsultants.

Required Skills and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
