Moog Defense Groupis the premier motion and flow control solutions provider for markets including missiles, turreted weapons systems, military ground vehicles, military radar, Naval vessels, and human-rated space vehicles. Emerging areas of focus include metal additive manufacturing, blockchain for supply chain, and sensor integration.

Moog - Orrville Operations, located about 30 minutes from Akron, OH, is a premier manufacturer of pneumatic and hydraulic rack and pinion rotary actuators with the broadest torque range in the industry and was the first to design rack and pinion actuators for use in Navy submarines, steel mills, oil refineries, and natural gas compressor stations.

Associate Contract Administrator- Orrville, Ohio

This role ensures the integrity of Moog's contractual commitments and monitors all activities related to meeting the company's performance objectives on assigned mature program contracts, interacts with Moog and customer personnel to ensure compliance with all contractual requirements to protect the company's legal position.

Responsibilities:

  • At receipt of a purchase order, responsible for review of the contract to ensure consistency with the Moog proposal, and for job order entry into the Moog production master schedule of MRP

  • Provide continual follow up on technical and delivery issues with engineering and manufacturing respectively, and coordinates other internal departmental activities required to support the contract

  • Coordinate with functional disciplines to establish lead times consistent with contractual requirements for prototype and production hardware

  • Assist with forecast data that is also entered into the Moog MRP system for planning purposes, and proposal preparation by acting as a proposal coordinator

  • Ability to interpret changes that impact the contract from a technical, quality, and manufacturing perspective, formulate proposals, and function as Moog's contractual representative in negotiations

  • Have working knowledge of Moog's products, programs, organization, technical processes, MRP system, and accounting systems

  • Have a considerable amount of customer contact and occasional visits to customers. Use expertise in handling contacts and the general quality of the service provided by this function considerably influences the customer's attitude toward Moog

  • Learn Moog and defense industry sales techniques and government procurement regulations, Moog manufacturing and engineering procedures, shipping and invoicing procedures, Moog's pricing policies and cost structuring, contract interpretation, and a feel for technical issues

  • Learn to read, interpret, and negotiate contract terms and conditions

  • Ability to motivate and deal effectively with people both inside and outside the company.

  • Possess personal contact and correspondence that reflect a high caliber of intelligence, conciseness, clarity, and good English usage

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a technical discipline

  • Associate's Degree and at least 6 years working experience in a related environment

Salary Range Transparency:

Orrville, OH $60,000.00-$75,000.00 Annually

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
