LOCATION: Warren, MA

DIRECT REPORTING: VP of Manufacturing Transformation

FUNCTIONAL REPORTING: Operations

POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

The Senior Production Manager manages and directs all phases of production scheduling , machining, welding, assembly, and test operations with emphasis on safety, quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness to meet customer expectations and the corporate revenue plan. The Senior Production Manager's key responsibility is to ensure product realization. This individual will lead, coordinate and actively participate in continuous process improvement activities. This position works closely with all departments and multiple levels of employees.

REQUIREMENTS:

RESPONSIBIITIES INCLUDE:


  • Ability to manage all of the production teams:


    • Production Scheduling
    • Machining (CNC & Manual)
    • Welding & Assembly, Test, Repair and Overhaul


  • Attends shift meetings to observe and provide feedback to operations team focusing on continuous improvement
  • Organizational performance within the financial guidelines of the company
  • Assist with planning and directing the layout of the equipment
  • Ensure production follows appropriate workflow
  • Focus on the Circor Operating System for process improvement
  • Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth
  • Ensures manufacturing performance and quality goals are met
  • Utilization of all manufacturing personnel and capital equipment
  • Enforcing company guidelines and procedures
  • Responsible to adhere to all site safety policies and procedures
  • Conducts Behavior-Based Safety observations and works with employees to ensure they are performing their job in a safe manner
  • Interface with Engineering to ensure proper solutions are in accordance with SOPS, WI, and properly documented for future reference
  • Responsible for maintaining production to meet the shipping schedule. This can involve changing priorities on a constant basis as the situation warrants
  • All other tasks and responsibilities as assigned


Job Requirements:

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

Knowledge Skills & Abilities


  • Ability to speak clearly and passionately, with excellent people skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to see fine details within the bigger picture.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to delegate, adapting daily activities to changing priorities.
  • Consistent, well organized, and tenacious.
  • Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification a plus
  • Experience with CNC and Manual Lathes and Mills
  • Experience with high mix - low volume manufacturing
  • Previous Labor Relations experience
  • Previous experience with ISO 9000 preferred.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, Word, CAD, Projects, Visio and blueprint reading.

Education & Experience


  • A minimum of bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, or other related field note: experience will be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Five (5) years minimum experience as a Manager/Supervisor in a small to mid-sized manufacturing company or equivalent
