Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Functions related to the Employee Relations Department. Duties require the exercise of courtesy in speaking with hospital staff, visitors, and others to maintain sound public relations. Administers human resources policies and procedures that pertain to employee relations. Researches and analyzes data, provides management with reports on any employee relations issues and possible resolutions. Performs employee counseling, equal employment opportunity, disability services, and labor relations. Investigates and documents employee complaints and disputes and recommend appropriate course of action. Educates new and current employees on employee relations policies.

  1. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  2. Two (2) years of Human Resources OR customer service related experience.
  3. High degree of emotional intelligence.
  4. Strong communication and organizational skills.
  5. Strong customer services skills and attitude.
  6. Ability to work with many different people with different personalities.
  7. Strong multi-tasking ability and ability to work through ambiguity.
  8. General knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures and Healthcare compliance.
  9. Ability to work with a team to create effective departmental strategies and meet team goals.
  10. Strong personal computer skills, including spreadsheet and database usage, Excel and Microsoft Word. Must be technology savvy and highly organized.
  11. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings &/or weekends.
  12. Ability to work well with others in a team environment.
  13. Competent with Microsoft Office Tools and type 40-wpm.

Preferred:

  1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  2. Two (2) years of HR Shared Services experience, representing HR/Health insurance industry.
  3. Competent with Microsoft Excel.
