Responsibilities

Wellstone Regional Hospital is a 100-bed acute care facility located in Jeffersonville, Indiana and has been providing quality health care to the residents of Southern Indiana and the Louisville area since 2003. Wellstone specializes in the treatment of Adolescents, Children, and the Adult population. In addition to our in-patient services, we offer out-patient programs as well. Wellstone is currently searching for a full-time Intake Transfer Clerk.

The Intake Transfer Clerk functions as an active member of the Evaluation and Referral Department, responsible for data entry, completing admission paperwork, collecting demographic and clinical information from referral sources, working with the intake clinicians in facilitating the transfer of patients from other facilities.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Degree or equivalent required.

Experience: Two (2) years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness, preferred.

Licensure: None

Additional Requirements: CPI and CPR training within first ninety (30) days of employment. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours when needed.

Hours of Work: 2nd shift, 1p-9:30p, and other times as indicated by immediate supervisor.
