The Role

The Procurement, Warehouse, and Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the procurement of materials, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring effective planning processes. This role involves leading a team of up to 7 direct reports, driving efficiency, and ensuring the seamless flow of goods and materials to support the organization's operational goals.

This Position will be located onsite in Pompano Beach, FL.

The Responsibilities
  • Direct Procurement Management: Oversee the procurement of materials, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and maintaining strong supplier relationships.

  • Warehouse Operations: Manage warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and distribution to two different distribution centers, to ensure efficient and accurate operations

  • Planning and Forecasting: Develop and implement planning strategies to ensure the timely availability of materials and resources, aligning with production schedules and demand forecasts.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of up to 7 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

  • Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement and warehouse costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.

  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all procurement and warehouse activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.

  • Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of procurement, warehouse, and planning functions.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes, reduce waste, and improve overall operational efficiency.

  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned

The Individual

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Or 10 years supply chain management experience in similar business

  • Proven experience in procurement, warehouse management, and planning.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Proficiency in use of and ERP system including planning/buying functions

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.

  • This position is not currently eligible for visa sponsorship.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in SAP APO and S4 HANA or ECC6.

The Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of both an office and manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

Position requires ability to lift up to 30 lbs. on a regular basis. Typically, 40% of time in meetings; 60% of time at the desk on computer/doing paperwork/ on phone. Walking, standing, and sitting for long periods of time are routine to accomplish tasks in this role. Position may be required to use Personal Protective Equipment as posted.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. At QuidelOrtho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 annually. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off (including sick time), and paid Holidays. All benefits are non-contractual, and QuidelOrtho may amend, terminate, or enhance the benefits provided, as it deems appropriate.
