Sr. Director of ERP Center of Excellence

Reporting To:

Director, IT Trans Prog Office

Work Schedule:

Onsite - Buffalo, NY

The ERP Center of Excellence will oversee both the sustainment and implementation of ERP systems within the organization, ensuring continuous improvement and optimization of ERP processes. This role will lead new ERP initiatives to support business growth and efficiency, requiring a deep understanding of ERP systems, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments and business units. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership experience at a senior level in managing large-scale ERP implementations, upgrades, and support initiatives. They should possess extensive knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., ECC, S4/HANA), modules, and integrations, particularly in the manufacturing space.

Additionally, the candidate must demonstrate expertise in change management, business process design, and strategic realization. Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills are essential. The ability to cultivate an innovative and collaborative environment, motivating teams towards strategic and operational excellence, is also crucial for this role.

As the Director, ERP Center of Excellence you will:

ERP Sustainment:

  • Manage the ongoing support and maintenance of existing ERP systems, ensuring high availability and performance.

  • Develop and implement best practices for ERP processes and operations, including user support, issue resolution, and system enhancements.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and optimization within the ERP framework.

  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of system performance, user satisfaction, and compliance with policies.

ERP Program Implementation:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and management of new ERP implementation projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Lead the creation of detailed business blueprints aligned to corporate strategy and direct the realization of those plans through structured project methodologies, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.

  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverable

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate users on new features and functionalities of the ERP system.

Governance and Best Practices:

  • Champion the use of industry-leading ERP best practices, leveraging continuous improvement methodologies to optimize business processes and maximize the value.

  • Establish and enforce governance frameworks for ERP usage, including data integrity, security, and compliance.

  • Develop and maintain documentation related to ERP processes, standards, and policies.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by staying current with ERP trends and technologies.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the ERP Center of Excellence team, promoting professional development and knowledge sharing.

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams, foster collaboration among technical and business stakeholders, and act as a trusted advisor to senior management on ERP capabilities and innovations.

To be considered for the Director, ERP Center of Excellence, here's what you'll typically need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

  • Proven experience in managing ERP systems, with a strong understanding of both sustainment and implementation processes.

  • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business solutions.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.

  • ERP certification (e.g., SAP,) is a plus.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $220,000.00-$280,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
