Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: An Associate's degree (A.A., A.S.) from a two-year community college or technical school with an emphasis in Computer Studies or Instrumentation and Controls is helpful but not required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Desire to or Experience in programming in the Industrial Environment, implementing Industrial Control Software (Startup) and experience in dealing with customers regarding system requirements is preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel will be limited and expect less than 10-15% as most activity will be in the production shop. Occasional travel to other production shops to assist with testing is expected. This may include travel to job sites to view or assist with commissioning activities. |
