Our client, a pioneer in the music industry, is looking to bring on a temporary Quality Engineer for approximately 18 weeks. This role is remote and the hours will vary between 30-40 hrs/ week. Necessary Top Skills: - iOS and Android mobile testing - eCommerce background workflows testing - Manual and Automation - Accessibility testing What they will do: - Study existing product features, documentation, and test cases to understand the application's functionality. - Execute existing basic regression test suites and report results. - Learn the bug tracking system and contribute to clear, concise bug reports. - Participate actively in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other team meetings. - Set up local environment and become proficient with version control and test automation tools. - Assist in functional and non-functional testing across multiple squads, including performance and security audits. - Review source code with guidance to identify potential performance and security vulnerabilities. - Develop and document manual test cases based on squad priorities and requirements. - Identify manual test cases suitable for automation and begin automating them. - Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify requirements and improve testability. - Partner with development squads to enhance and expand automated test coverage. - Investigate and troubleshoot production issues, understanding the role of monitoring in release readiness. - Independently execute testing cycles, analyze results, and provide timely reports on defects and risks. - Propose and implement improvements to the QA process, including test case management, automation frameworks, and reporting. Requirements: - 4 years of software testing experience - Experience validating user-interfaces built using HTML, CSS, and Javascript for desktop and mobile - Thorough understanding of data validation techniques (SQL & NoSQL) - Thorough understanding of media authoring, hosting, and delivery - Shows initiative and seeks evidence in data to support ideas. Great to have: - Test automation experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Beautiful Soup - Experience with Accessibility, multi-currency, taxation, and end-to-end testing.
