- Test Planning: Collaborate with business analysts and product managers to understand user requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Develop comprehensive UAT test plans and strategies.
- Test Case Design: Create and document detailed test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios based on user stories and requirements. Ensure test cases cover various usage scenarios and edge cases.
- Test Execution: Execute manual and automated UAT test cases, ensuring that software features align with user expectations. Identify, document, and prioritize defects and issues, and work with development teams for resolution.
- Usability Testing: Assess the software's usability by conducting user walkthroughs, surveys, and interviews. Collect feedback from end-users and stakeholders to improve user experience.
- Regression Testing: Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or changes do not introduce unintended side effects or break existing functionality.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and quality assurance teams, to ensure that UAT testing aligns with the overall software development process.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of test cases, test results, and defects. Create and update UAT documentation for reference.
- Automation: Identify opportunities for test automation and work with the automation team to create and maintain UAT automation scripts.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance UAT processes and methodologies.
Qualifications: Education & Industry Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (preferred); Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
