Supervisor, Embryology Lab Full Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the effective supervision of the Embryology Lab specific to organizational excellence, clinical/quality of care, regulatory compliance, and mentoring/coaching. This will also include coordinating all CAP requirements, including mandatory checks, and ensuring the lab is compliant. This position will also coordinate the Embryology schedule with the lab staff, clinical nurses, and physicians to ensure that the Embryology Lab is staffed safely and within the CAP requirements. This is a working supervisor position and will also fulfill the requirements of a Senior Embryologist. This position will be responsible for executing all the daily functions of the Embryology Laboratory. They are fully competent in all technical aspects of assisted reproductive technology as well as capable of managing the workflow of the lab. The senior embryologist supervisor is responsible for monthly reporting to the offsite laboratory director. They work closely with their lab staff, clinical nurses, physicians, as well as the practice manager of the fertility department. They are responsible for training and mentoring any junior, or staff embryologists. Must demonstrate full mastery of all embryology and andrology procedures needed for In Vitro Fertilization while demonstrating the ability to lead the lab team as well as work independently.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree in biological science Required. Certification Standards for Technical Supervisor (TS) Required.

EXPERIENCE:

A minimum of 5+ years of experience in clinical laboratory setting performing basic and advanced embryology techniques with experience in in-vitro fertilization. Supervisory experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Good written and verbal communication skills.
