Overview:
Acara Solutions is seeking a highly experienced Sr. Reliability Engineer to join our client's growing team in Colorado Springs. The ideal candidate will serve as the reliability subject matter expert (SME) within cross-functional teams and will contribute significantly to quality, productivity, and risk-reduction efforts across semiconductor development and manufacturing.
Pay Range: $170,000 - $180,000 annually
10% bonus
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Reliability SME in cross-functional teams focused on quality, productivity, risk assessment, and cost improvement.
  • Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) at the system and component levels.
  • Develop and execute qualification and reliability test plans/flows according to industry and customer standards.
  • Analyze product and process-related failures to determine root cause.
  • Generate technical documentation, including reliability assessments and qualification reports.
  • Coordinate with technical groups and customers to resolve reliability issues and track risk mitigation plans.
  • Contribute to the setup and maintenance of reliability test infrastructure, matrices, and data reporting.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers in reliability engineering principles and best practices.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • 10 yrs. minimum experience as a Reliability Engineer within semiconductor processing, IC design, or related field
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Strong experience in wafer-level reliability (WLR) and front-end semiconductor reliability techniques.
  • Familiarity with device degradation mechanisms (e.g., HCI, BTI, TDDB, EM) and common failure modes.
  • Experience supporting or working with foundry-level reliability data and processes.
  • Hands-on knowledge of QML qualifications, military-grade microcircuit standards, and high-reliability screening (MIL-STD, MIL-PRF, etc.).
  • Experience with reliability test structures and test vehicles on silicon.
  • Solid understanding of DFR (Design for Reliability) principles.
  • Ability to estimate and mitigate reliability risks in pre-packaging and early development stages.
