SUMMARY
The Executive Director of Digital Marketing & Strategy is a visionary and results-oriented leader responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing the organization's digital marketing transformation, marketing strategies, and supporting technological infrastructure. This senior leadership role will report to the VP, Chief Marketing Officer and will oversee a cross-functional team to drive innovation, improve customer engagement, and enhance operational efficiency through the integration of digital solutions, data-driven marketing, and advanced technologies
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Marketing Leadership
- Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns across various channels including web, email, social media, SEO/SEM, and paid media.
- Lead customer segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies to maximize audience reach and engagement.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making through analysis of marketing performance metrics and ROI.
- Foster a customer-centric culture, leveraging technology to improve acquisition, retention, and overall satisfaction.
- Build the analytics framework to clearly show the ROI of the digital marketing campaigns.
Marketing Technology Infrastructure and Integration
- Manage the digital technology ecosystem, ensuring it supports overall marketing objectives.
- Lead the integration of marketing automation tools, a new customer relationship management (CRM) system, and other systems to support streamlined processes.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's website and other digital properties to ensure optimal user experience.
- Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance to ensure adherence to privacy, accessibility, and other regulated standards.
Digital Marketing Strategy & Transformation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy to align with the system's strategic goals.
- Lead the adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, automation and analytics to advance business objectives.
- Be a thought leader for trends in digital marketing, technology and cross-industry best practices to ensure competitive positioning in the market.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead, mentor, and inspire multi-disciplinary team including digital marketing professionals, technologists, and analysts.
- Establish clear performance goals for the team and monitor progress, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Identify and grow top talent in key areas of focus.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with senior leadership and key stakeholders to align digital marketing and marketing technology strategies with organizational goals.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the progress of digital initiatives, key metrics, and overall performance.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, required. Masters preferred.
- 10+ years of progressively responsible related digital marketing experience including 5-7 years of management experience with significant business impact
- Broader digital marketing experience in agency and/or other non-healthcare industries preferred
- Healthcare experience a plus
Knowledge/ Skills & Abilities
- Deep digital marketing core expertise, including search engine marketing/optimization, social media, display advertising, etc.
- Broader direct marketing expertise, driving business growth and clear ROI to the business
- Deep subject matter expertise in CRM and other marketing automation tools, including how to leverage segmentation and modeling to target consumers and drive positive ROI for marketing campaigns
- Grounded in regulatory constraints associated with privacy, accessibility, and other areas of compliance scrutiny.
- Understanding of broad marketing technology environment and clear vision for how to build best-in-class capabilities
- Skills:
- Transformational digital leader, change manager, ability to use digital marketing expertise to continuously drive improvement
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, email marketing, social media, content marketing, and analytics.
- Expertise in data analysis, A/B testing, and performance tracking to optimize marketing campaigns.
- Familiarity with web development processes, digital UX/UI, and other digital platforms.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and departments.
Salary Range: Minimum $0.00 per hour - Maximum $0.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
