Pre-Op- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Physician Assistant (APRN/PA Anesthesia)

This is a PRN position-Ideal candidate will have prior experience in pediatrics, ICU, or ED

Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital Department of Anesthesia is nationally recognized for its quality outcomes and consistent clinical practices. Our cohesive team of pediatric certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) and pediatric anesthesiologists are experts in treating infants and children of all ages. This diverse group of anesthesia providers trained at esteemed institutions around the country and have brought their pediatric anesthesia expertise to Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital. Many of our anesthesia colleagues have advanced training and specialize in the areas of pain management and congenital heart disease.

Provides patient centered, specialized, evidence based nursing care across the continuum through an inter-professional approach to treatment, research, education and advocacy. APRN's and PA's are board-certified providers that assume responsibility and accountability for health stabilization, promotion and maintenance of acute and chronic illness or injury. APRNs contribute to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the Florida Board of Nursing and JHACH policy. PA's assume responsibility and accountability for health stabilization, promotion, and maintenance of acute and chronic illness or injury under the supervision of a physician. Through collaborative practice with all members of the care team, this role is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by JHACH.

QUALIFICATIONS:




  • Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (PNP-AC) or Physician Assistant (PA) certification and licensure in the state of Florida.
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Pediatric Acute Care Nursing (PNP-AC) or Physician Assistant Studies (PA) from an accredited program.
  • Current BLS, AHA.
  • Current National Certification as a: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner- Primary Care, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-Acute Care, Family Nurse Practitioner.
  • If currently certified as a FNP or PNP-PC, - it may be a condition of continued employment to obtain acute care PNP certification by the employees' third anniversary date with a signed agreement.



Salary Range: Minimum $66.33 per hour - Maximum $66.33 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
