ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

In this role, working closely with a cross-functional team of internal and external stakeholders, you will be a key contributor to new products being developed by the company to satisfy emerging market needs. You will perform quantitative-based market research and analysis, identify scalable market gaps and opportunities for the company to employ its core competencies to solve new challenges, participate in product definition, competitive positioning, and execution of a full suite of Product Management related functions.While this role will ultimately be broad in nature, a particular focus for this role is education or experience related to software development and networking-related technologies (e.g. modems, routers, network appliances, applications, interfaces, etc.) as the company seeks to deliver new terminal systems to the marketplace.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Understanding of the above role description summary focus area technologies and related commercial trends impacting ever-evolving Government Markets
  • Contributing to products across the entire service lifecycle from market discovery and product requirements definition, through proposed solution validation, development, deployment, and end of life.
  • Understanding price-to-value and underpinning cost structures for products & solu-tions in cooperation with internal stakeholders, and in alignment with relevant Busi-ness Plan.
  • Evaluate options for, and develop go-to-market strategy for government products and solutions
  • Leading the development of investment cases for new Government products
  • Defining and tracking KPI's for success of government products, as measured by sales, revenues, P&L and ROI on required investments
  • Participating in multi-disciplinary teams to define, develop, test, document, train, and deliver new products on time and on budget.
  • Promoting awareness and create demand for relevant products and solutions through customer visits, independent speaker opportunities, product demos etc. at global events, conferences and other suitable occasions, support Sales colleagues in prepar-ing for, and participating in customer meetings as required
  • Supporting sales engagements to deliver product revenue
  • Evaluation and integration of customers' feedback into product development and in-novation to maintain and enhance product-market fit.
  • Supporting launch campaigns for new products
  • Overseeing training activities for sales and technical teams to support product success



REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • US citizenship with the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor's, or Higher Degree,in an engineering, computer science, physics, math, or economics related discipline, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience in satellite communications technologies and/or product management
  • 0-4 years of experience in product development/management in the satellite communications, services or other technology field
  • Willingness to travel domestically (10%-25%) as well as internationally
  • Basic knowledge of satellite communications and networking
  • Ability to compile, interpret and present information on complex topics in written and oral form to a wide range of technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strategic product mindset, with tactical actions and timelines
  • Ability to be responsible for evaluating options and presenting recommendations on initiatives



The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
