This role, in collaboration with the Program Director, will focus on upholding compliance with Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) standards, guaranteeing the attainment of program goals, and identifying areas for enhancement while offering recommendations to improve the program. This role is vital to the success of the residency program and this individual must demonstrate initiative, resourcefulness, and problem-solving skills in applying a detailed knowledge of the responsibilities, functions, and underlying management of the program. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field Preferred KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: * Demonstrate an understanding of ACGME policies and procedures, including in-depth knowledge of the Common Program requirements and the Internal Medicine Specialty-Specific requirements. * Manage the daily operations and activities for the residency training program. * Serve as the lead administrative contact for the residency training program, including its residents and faculty. * Serve as an essential liaison between residents, faculty, other staff members, and the ACGME. * Assist the Program Director, Associate Program Director, and faculty in the design, implementation, and management of the administrative and academic operations of the program. * Oversee and manage timely completion of resident, faculty, and program evaluations through the Residency Management System (RMS). * Utilize the RMS to record, maintain, and report on all aspects of the resident's training experience, including demographics, scholarly activity, procedure/case logging, rotation/semiannually/summative evaluations, rotation/daily schedule, and work hours. * Coordinate the educational activities of the program while ensuring adherence to ACGME program requirements. * Provide guidance to learners on program and institutional policies. * Work with the Program Director and Associate Program Director to coordinate accreditation activities including ACGME Site Visits, Self-Studies, Internal Reviews, Annual Program Reviews, etc. * Utilize systems to inform the Program Director and Associate Program Director of program compliance with organizations such as ACGME, AMA, NRMP, and any other program-related organizations. * Coordinate, organize, and schedule GME events for the program including recruitment, interviews, orientation, graduation, retreats, conferences, and various meetings. * Assist the Program Director and Associate Program Director with monitoring and reporting of Resident Wellness outcomes to ensure ACGME compliance. * Assist the Program Director and Associate Program Director with the coordination of the resident recruitment and selection process. * Assist the Program Director, Associate Program Director, and program faculty in planning scholarly activity and quality improvement projects. * Prepare and manage Program Letters of Agreement (in coordination with institutional leadership) with participating institutions and training sites, as well as ensuring agreements are revised as needed. * Track, document, and report on educational activities for residents for the purpose of meeting board certification requirements and program accreditation requirements. * Prepare, document, and schedule program-related meetings such as the Program Evaluation Committee and Clinical Competency Committee meetings.
