The Senior Application Consultant will provide ongoing system administration and maintenance for Hexagon Public Safety OnCall Records & Analytics systems at the customer site, collaborating with IT staff. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, technical support, installation, SQL Server Database Maintenance, data management, and general system updates. The role requires participation in upgrades, user interface configuration modifications, and issue resolution with end-users. Informal training for customer staff on system administration and detailed documentation are essential duties. This position, will be 100% on site at the customer's location.

This role is ideal for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced technical environment and possesses strong problem-solving capabilities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in enhancing the customer's analytical capacities and operational efficiencies through their expertise with Hexagon Records Management software integrated with Microsoft Power BI solutions, while effectively communicating complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders and independently managing tasks as well as keeping management teams informed of progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that existing custom Power BI reports are up-to-date with current data sources.
  • Perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all Power BI solutions in use.
  • Design and implement new custom reports or models as needed, using Power BI tools.
  • Innovate solutions that improve decision-making processes for the customer.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for current and future system customizations.
  • Ensure all modifications are well-documented to facilitate understanding and continuity.
  • Assist Technical Lead/SMEs with change management, configuration adjustments, and report administration related to the Hexagon software.
  • Engage in troubleshooting where standard support procedures fall short.
  • Efficiently submit tickets for technical issues through the Contractor Support Desk, ensuring prompt triaging and tracking of requests.
  • Offer consultative services focused on developing efficient workflows, operating procedures, and deploying new functionalities within the framework.
  • Participate in testing updates for the OnCall application suite, ensuring robustness before deployment.
  • Resolve complex issues proactively to maintain system integrity and reliability.
  • Demonstrate strong independent work skills to effectively manage projects with minimal supervision.
What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • A minimum of five years' experience with report writing, data analytics, and database management systems.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining custom models and reports using report writing tools.
  • Strong understanding of ETL processes, data warehousing, and modeling techniques.
  • Experience with SQL databases for configuring views or other relevant features.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to explain complex technical issues in clear terms understandable by end-user clients.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, managing tasks effectively without constant oversight.
This position requires at minimum a Secret security clearance.
