MedStar Health currently has an opening for a rotating Advanced Practice Clinician at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. The ideal candidate for this role will preferably have experience in the field of Hospital Medicine, but new graduates are welcome to apply. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: daily hospital rounds, performing physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, collaborating with consultants, and discharge planning.

The clinician facilitates coordination and development of a comprehensive and individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and multidisciplinary team. Other responsibilities include:

• Writes prescription orders, medications, and controlled substances according to DC and Federal rules, regulations, and law.
• Coordinates family education with nursing staff, ancillary staff, and other resources.
• Contributes to the achievement of Department goals and adheres to policies, procedures, and quality and safety standards.
• Complies with Government and accreditation regulations.
