Job Description |
- Assist in organizing program materials for lessons and activities, as well as document attendance, incidents and other observation for ages 3-5,
- Assist in delivering dynamic daily curriculum to engage children ages 4-12 in recreation, academic and social character-building that expands school day learning in a meaningful way.
- Using your coursework training, model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety, well-being and attention of all children while leading fun fitness activities, and guiding children at play.
- Excellent communication skills with varied audience including children, parents, staff and school personnel.
- Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain the safety and well-being and attention of all children.
- Meets regularly with the Evening Care Supervisor and/or Director regarding professional progress and team accountability.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Early childhood and school-age assistants shall have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)
- One year of experience in a recreational program or licensed day care center serving preschool and/or school-age children or a license exempt preschool and/or school-age child care program operated by a public or private school.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |
- Knowledge of pre-school children between 3-5 yrs.
- Knowledge of school-age youth Kindergaten to 12 years old
- Meet all University and DCFS hiring requirements, including background check and Physical.
- Follow all DCFS licensing guidelines.
- Attend and participate in all required training and professional development opportunities.
